White Shell Island Hotel is the most-built-out guesthouse on Gulhi — 14 rooms, a small pool, breakfast included, and direct access to a lagoon that's noticeably quieter than Maafushi's despite sitting in the same South Malé Atoll waters. Excellent for snorkelling without leaving the property. Best for travellers wanting Maafushi's accessibility without the crowds. Skip it for nightlife — Gulhi runs quiet by 9pm.
