Why One&Only Reethi Rah
One&Only Reethi Rah occupies a kidney-shaped island in North Malé that's so large the resort treats it as twelve different beaches, each accessible from a different cluster of villas — a layout that solves the problem of 'every overwater villa shares the same view'. 130 villas, generous land-villa categories with private pools the size of small lap pools, a 6,000 m² spa, a serious dive operation, and a kids' club that's good enough to make a real difference on a family week. Speedboat from MLE is 45 min. Best for guests who want privacy at scale and can use the space — the island is too big to walk in flip-flops, so you get a buggy. Skip it if you're a couple looking for an intimate one-island feel; this is the polished 6★ for groups, families, and people who like options.
