Why Lucky Hiya Maldives
Lucky Hiya is a 12-room family-run guesthouse on Mathiveri — a quiet North Ari local island where the sandbank off the western tip is a 20-minute wade away at low tide. Daily manta and whale-shark trips run from the harbour. Half-board includes home-cooked Maldivian dinners that are usually better than anything you'll get on Maafushi. Best for travellers wanting a quiet, slightly-off-the-trail North Ari week. Skip it if you need restaurants and shops nearby.
