Why Embudu Village
Embudu Village is one of the country's old-school dive resorts — opened in 1981, modest in finish, but with a house reef so good it's been the reason to come for forty years. Sharks at the channel mouth, turtles on the wall, and the Werner Lau dive school next door, one of the longer-running operations in the country. 124 simple villas, full-board only (no AI bloat), and a guest list dominated by repeat divers. Best for divers who want substance over polish; skip it if you want overwater villas or design-led rooms.
