Why Crystal Sands
Crystal Sands sits on Maafushi's bikini-beach side with rooms that step almost directly onto the sand — one of the few guesthouses on the island that lets you wake up and snorkel before breakfast. 24 rooms, generous breakfast buffet, in-house excursion desk for whale-shark and sandbank trips, and a small dive operation. Best for first-time Maafushi guests who want beachfront without paying mid-tier resort rates. Skip it if you want a pool deck or a spa; Crystal Sands is more guesthouse than hotel.
