Why Arena Beach Hotel
Arena Beach Hotel is the closest thing Maafushi has to a small resort — 35 rooms across two buildings, a rooftop restaurant with proper views, an in-house excursion desk that handles whale-shark, sandbank, dolphin, and dive trips. Beachfront-side rooms open onto bikini beach. Best for guests who want one front desk to book the whole week through. Skip it for true backpacker prices; Arena sits at the upper end of guesthouse pricing on the island.
