Why go
Why go to Huraa
Huraa is a small, quiet North Malé island that punches above its weight on diving. The Four Seasons reef sits a few minutes away, the channels around Bandos and Kuda Bandos are excellent drift dives, and you reach all of it without paying resort prices. The village (~1,100 people) is unfussy: family guesthouses, a couple of cafés, kids playing football on the harbour wall in the evening. Speedboat from MLE is 30 minutes. It's a good shoulder-of-trip stay if you've already done Maafushi or want a base closer to MLE for a 4–5 day window.
